If you like to browse, rummage and haggle for your purchases, then brocantes and vide-greniers (both a sort of cross between a car boot sale, an antiques fair and a market) happen all over the region throughout the spring and summer months and many are well worth a visit. To check where there is something going on locally during your stay, pay a visit to the Brocabrac website and use the calendar to choose your dates. Worth checking both department 16 and 17 as we are close to the border.

You may just find yourself a French masterpiece!
